North Island
An undisputed tropical paradise; a visit to North Island is on many family bucket lists, and it’s easy to see why.
With just 11 villas, spread out by the shoreline and nestled into the forest, you could be forgiven for thinking you were all alone on the island at times.
Your visit will directly support all the commendable ecological and conservation projects happening in this important ecosystem. Indigenous trees and plants are grown in the nursery on the island, and re-planted in the island’s forests.
The island is home to many endangered endemic species of birds, as well as reptiles. Furthermore, the beaches are important Green Turtle nesting grounds.
You may find it hard to tear yourselves away from the fabulous vistas, enormous, luxurious villas, and the beaches (the epitome of seclusion, they are literally deserted).
There is plenty for little ones and adults to do alike – apart from the conservation visits mentioned above, you can dive and snorkel to your heart’s content (these are some of the finest reefs in the world). Perhaps enjoy the spa, and walk miles and miles around the island, into the forests and across the beaches.
There are plenty of activities with children in mind specifically, this is the ultimate playground! Think tropical-themed arts and drafts, plenty of indoor and outdoor games, lots of kitchen activities, watersports, landsports and much else besides.
Not many make it here, so not only will you feel like you have the place to yourselves while there, for years after your return home you will be talking about it (and no double plotting your return!)
